Flaminia Saccucci is a womenswear designer with a specialization in design of printed textile.
Born and raised in Rome, after high school she moved to London to study at Central Saint Martins, College of Art & Design where she graduated from a BA (hons) Fashion in 2011 winning the L’Oréal Award for best collection of the year.
Her degree collection gained worldwide appreciation. The collection was photographed in magazines such as Vogue Italia, Vogue Deutsch, Vogue Brasil, Dazed & Confused and was also exhibited at the Victoria & Albert Museum London.
Soon after she designed a womenswear collection under her own name commissioned by Browns London and moved to Paris to work full time at Givenchy as print designer for womenswear .
The same year she was chosen by BOF founder and editor Imran Amed to be part of Pattern, Phaidon publication, together with designers such as Sarah Burton, Maria Grazia Chiuri & Pierpaolo Piccioli and Olivier Rousteing. This book presents the world 100 most outstanding contemporary young fashion designers selected by the field’s leading professionals.
As well as Givenchy she has worked as print designer for many luxury houses including Christian Dior, Mugler, Versace and Roberto Cavalli.
She also gained her early experience working as design assistant for Alexander McQueen, Balmain and Viktor & Rolf.
For some years Flaminia has undertaken bespoked projects for various clients. Among these was an eponymous collection for Japanese chain store Isetan’s brand Menka.
Currently the designer is working on her own printed womenswear label.
